The DMV consistently puts out some of the best music in the country. Underground artists pop up seemingly every month with something fresh and new. Kenny’s “Mariana” produced by Dran Fresh actually dropped earlier this year but recently gets the visual treatment, it’s been worth the wait. Directed by Adebayo Umoja, it involves everything from slick drone footage to underwater scenes and a summer pool party. The record is based on the dance vibes that have made Goldlink so popular the last few years, and is mixed with an R&B hook and some clever verses. “Mariana” is the full package. With previous work featuring Mick Jenkins and now an incredibly good visual for a solid single, the Oxon Hill native is primed to continue his rise. Stay tuned for more.

This is my first time hearing a track from the DMV artist K’Ron and must I say he has made me a fan. This track “Call Me” that features Fre$h speaks easy to many lovers of different categories and standards. The overall feel of the track is a mix of present time and 90’s RnB. The vocals of K’Ron are easy on the ears and will most defiantly have you attempting to imitate notes. Check out the smooth new track below and tell us what you think.
