SBO – Up & Out (Visual)

So I didn’t go searching for these guys they popped up on my timeline yesterday and I felt the strong need to share their music with you because I’m pretty sure once they drop the full video they’re going viral if they aren’t already. Each one of them is telling a story and the visual matches perfectly with the track, Shot by Eighty DaMayor he did the damn thing. Go ahead and press play up above and tell us what you think, they’ve got some more heat coming.

Kelow LaTesha – Lul Sis (Visuals)

NFL Cartel Bo and Cartel 20 drop a street banger with “Product”

After sweeping the streets with his single, “Location”, Houston’s NFL Cartel Bo plans to continues to add more fuel to the fire with is trap anthem, “Product”. Carrying the lyrical intensity he displayed on “Location”, Bo flexes his wordplay even more with the righteous delivery he infuses on this record. His voice, especially in the intro, triggers thoughts of early Rick Ross. Between the work of the hook and the alignment of the verses, it’s a descriptive tale of pressing xans, taking different people’s pack, advising drug dealers to know their legal limit, and more. Songs like these can go a long way in measuring Bo against some of today’s kingpins of the South, but will allow him to separate himself because he’s a Texas artist who’s riding a different wave. Follow him on IG here.

Messy Tye – 4 The Love (Visual)

Messy Tye is a Los Angeles native and he’s actually out here spitting bars no mumble rap shit. You don’t believe me? He just recently introduced us to his visual “4 The Love” which is the first video off his most recent project “Messarounds” showing us that he’s playing no games Messy Tye delivers bar for bar. Go ahead and press play up above and tell us what you think.

Your New Favorite Brand: Faded Decade

There are many new underground brands on the rise all across the country but one you all should especially have your sights on is Faded Decade.

Hailing from Huntsville, Texas, Faded Decade has it all. From apparel to videography, music and photography, Faded Decade sets a platform for themselves as well as other artists to push their work to the public and let their creativity flourish.

Beginning in 2014, childhood friends Dedric Linton (Dedd) and Jerome Trout (Rome), decided to team up immediately after discussing each other’s work. Rome had been working on multiple designs and initial branding for Faded Decade and Dedd had just dropped his first mixtape “3rd Place.” Before they decided to join forces in 2014, they had lost contact with each other for about seven years until reuniting at the parent’s house of high school friend of Dedd, Ciz. 213 was formed and the message Third: God First, Family Second, Yourself Third.

Faded Decade was online only until the grand opening of their store on 1213 University Ave, on January 20, 2017. Prior to the store they boys had what they called “The Barn” in New Waverley, Texas where they resided for a year. This location allowed them to create, host parties, shows, and record music, similar to what the store allows now.

The store itself features a variety a vintage clothing, used vinyl records, and all sorts of accessories, along with their very own Faded Decade apparel created by Rome himself.

The team at Faded Decade are driven and dedicated to encouraging aspiring artists in the area and all across the country. They’re different because they offer a wide variety of services that you commonly won’t find in one single location.

Jebediah, their visual director, is responsible for videography. Rome takes care of graphic design and photography.

Rellim, a producer, runs sessions in the studio above the shop. They use that as a personal studio as well as Dedd’s Black Book Recording Studios that he opened with lifelong friend Crisco in Conroe, Texas in June of 2017.

The brand has had a good first year. Since the store opened they’ve hosted underground shows for various rock/hip hop artists in their venue above the shop, and it’s available for bookings as well. They are striving to create an environment where people want to bring their art, showcase it, and create for the love of it. This past summer they hosted what they called Rap Camp, featuring members from the group No.Dom$ along with other local artists. The program lasted about 2 months and all the artists involved felt like they had a place to call home. They want everyone to be able to come there and find something they will enjoy.

Within the year, Faded Decade hosted a meet and greet with Quentin Miller following Dedd’s collaboration with him on their track Balance, which is featured on Dedd’s project entitled “Black Winter II” released on December 1st, 2017. Also, just this past week the team celebrated their 1st year anniversary of the store with a party and performances, featuring Omen XIII of Los Angeles on January 20th. Last but not least, Dedd and Donnie Hardaway of No.Dom$ just released their 3-track collab ep “NO SMOKING ON THE ROOF” on January 22nd.

1 Year Anniversary Recap:

Faded Decade are currently planning their next event expected in February for their friend Paul’s one year anniversary of his clothing line, Bare Like Nude.

With the help of their family and friends in their Kayoo Militia, Faded Decade continuously makes every effort to develop a sense of unity and a judge-free creative zone for themselves and those around them with their services. They want to offer a little bit of something for everybody and are always open to hearing suggestions from the public on how they can be better for the community and the culture.

Stay tuned and up to date on what more Faded Decade has to offer, you won’t regret it !
